A meeting about the tourism bike service in Hue

Visitors need to install an application on their smartphone for the service which has QR codes to open bikes and GPS to know the bike location.

The service will help visitors to travel around the Huong River area or other local tourist spots.

The project is expected to be completed before Hue Festival 2020.

Around 400 bikes will be distributed in the inner-city areas, while some 2,000 will be for the city’s suburban areas.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho highly appreciated the project, urging to put the service into operation early. He also mentioned the necessity to develop public transport and environmentally-friendly toilets and litter bins.

He asked local management agencies to consider opening more pedestrian streets in the north and south of Huong River. Dtinews
