VietNamNet Bridge - On the afternoon of September 17, hundreds of people gathered at the gate of the Royal Palace Hotel, Hung Vuong Street, Hue City to apply for free medical treatment by acupressure.

Palace Hotel in Hue city on September 17.

The cause of this situation is that many patients heard that herbalist Vo Hoang Yen, Director of the Vo Hoang Yen Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Ha Tinh province, to offer free treatment in Hue City on September 17.

Because herbalist Yen stayed in the Royal Palace hotel from the morning until the evening of the same day, over 300 people who suffered from various diseases such as blindness, lameness, deafness, heart and lung diseases, etc gathered in front of the hotel lobby and registered with the reception in order to be examined.

Mr. Truong Si Nhan, from Quy Nhon City of Binh Dinh Province, took his sister Truong Thi Mai, a deaf, to Hue to see the herbalist. He said he heard that physician Yen would go to Hue on September 17 so he and his sister left Quy Nhon to Hue on September 16.

Similarly, many other patients from neighboring provinces also went to Hue to see herbalist Yen because they had heard about Yen’s effective acupressure and he did not take money from patients.

At noon of September 17, policemen and health inspectors of Thua Thien-Hue Province met with Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duc, General Director of the Royal Palace Hotel. Accordingly, Mr. Vo Hoang Yen was in Hue and was staying at the hotel. Duc admitted that Duc would offer free treatment by acupuncture at 2pm of the same day. Patients could sign up at the front desk to wait for being called by Yen for healing. By the lunch time, 285 patients registered for the treatment. But Mr. Yen was not present at the hotel at the time inspectors came there.

Guards did not allow people to enter the hotel.

Inspectors asked the hotel to not allow any organization and individual to hold medical examination at the hotel if it does not have the written consent of the Department of Health.

The hotel then pasted the following announcement "Because the hotel is not the place for medical examination and treatment so the provincial Department of Health does not allow physician Vo Hoang Yen to practice medical treatment here. The examination at 2pm this afternoon will be canceled. "

From the early afternoon, more than 500 people flocked to the hotel after the notice was released, causing chaos there. From 1.30pm to 3pm, all doors of the Royal Palace hotel were closed and guarded. Some policemen and the local militia team were mobilized to keep order around the hotel.

But from 3pm, hotel guards let patients to enter the hotel one by one to see physician Yen. They were healed very fast and got out of the hotel with smiling faces. At 5pm, a lot of people still waited outside to see Yen. At the same time, the police met with the hotel managers.

Some people had rented a room at the hotel for a few million dong per day to see physician Yen.
