VietNamNet Bridge – A couple of painters – Nguyen Khoa Nhy and Ton Nu Tuong Hoa – have introduced their 33 paintings of the ancient capital city of Hue to HCM City’s art-lovers.

The couple used to live in Hue and organized several exhibitions in Hue before 1975. Tuong Hoa was born in a royal family in Hue.

Their 33 paintings are on display at the “Memoirs of Hue” exhibition at Tu Do gallery in HCM City. The exhibition will close on July 27.

Ton Nu Tuong Hoa was born in 1947 in Hue city. She graduated from the Hue College of Fine Art in 1971 and became an art teacher at the Thanh Noi School for Student girls. Since 1973, she has organized many silk and oil painting exhibitions. This year her silk paintings were presented in France. Her artworks have been collected by many Vietnamese and foreign collectors.

Nguyen Khoa Nhi was born in 1945 in Ninh Thuan. He graduated from the Hue College of Fine Art in in 1971. He used to be an art teacher at many schools in Hue. Nhi and her wife are now guest teachers at many universities in HCM City.
