On the afternoon of July 23, the Hue City People's Committee and the Hue Festival Organizing Committee announced the Hue International Heritage and Music Festival - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026.

According to organizers, Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 will take place from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1 at the City Sports Center Square, with free admission for residents and tourists during the Sept. 2 National Day holiday.
The event is expected to attract tens of thousands of spectators in person and reach millions more across media platforms.
The festival is being developed as an IP, or Intellectual Property, and an international cultural and music festival brand for Hue, with plans for it to become an annual event from 2026 to 2030.
It is regarded as a strategic cultural and tourism product designed to promote the cultural industry and nighttime economy, attract investment and expand international cooperation.
Under the theme "City Awakening - Awakening Heritage," Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 will combine heritage with music, contemporary art and modern performance technology.
Organizers said Hue will, for the first time, install an international-standard multisensory stage featuring a large-scale LED screen system, visual and media technology, lasers and a range of modern performance effects, with the aim of setting a Vietnamese record.
The highlights will be two mega concert nights titled "Heritage Awakens" and "Heritage Integration," bringing together numerous Vietnamese and international artists.
The performances will convey the message of a Hue that preserves its traditional values while continuously innovating and connecting with the world.
Alongside the artistic performances, the festival will feature spaces for cultural experiences, creativity, technology and cuisine, as well as community interaction activities.
Another highlight will be the appearance of Long Ma, the official mascot of Hue Wonderverse Music Fest, which is intended to become a recognizable symbol of the festival in future editions.
Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, said the festival is not only a large-scale cultural and entertainment event but also a strategic step toward realizing the city's goals of developing cultural industries and the creative economy while promoting Hue's image regionally and internationally.
