At around 6:30 p.m. on September 29, a fire suddenly broke out in an apartment on the 11th floor of Block B at the Conic Boulevard apartment complex in Tan Nhut Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, prompting hundreds of residents to rush to safety.

According to initial information, the fire started inside the apartment on Huynh Ba Chanh Street. Black smoke quickly billowed from the balcony.

The building’s fire alarm system sounded continuously. Residents on different floors alerted one another and used the stairs to reach a safe area on the ground.

After receiving the alert, authorities quickly arrived at the scene and coordinated with building security and the on-site fire prevention and firefighting team to tackle the blaze and help residents evacuate.

The fire has since been largely brought under control. No casualties were reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the property damage.
