VietNamNet Bridge – Dancers from many art schools and art troupes will gather up in HCM City to compete in the competition to seek new dancing talents from August 19 to 22.

This is the third dancing festival held in HCM City. This year the event attracts dancers from over 20 art schools and art troupes in HCM City, Tien Giang, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and others.

HCM City Dance School's Experimental Theatre will present five repertoires, while the Cham Pa Scent Dance Troupe from the central province of Binh Thuan will perform three Cham ethnic repertoires.

The third festival will focus on the themes: “praising the people and Vietnamese land” and “reflecting the social reality in Vietnam in the time of development and integration”.

Each repertoire will last no more than 10 minutes.

The jury includes People’s Artist Dang Hung, Chair of the HCM City Dancers’ Association, Meritorious Teacher Thuy Minh, Meritorious Teacher Vinh Hien, Meritorious Artist To Nguyet Nga and cheographer Phuong Lich.

The festival will be held at the HCM City Dance School.

It is hoped the festival will become a regional event next year.
