VietNamNet Bridge – Not being allowed to smoke, hundreds of drug addicts at a rehabilitation center in Binh Phuoc province broke the door to escape from the center. One day later, 80 people were seized.

On October 13, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, Director of the Center for Treatment - Education - Social Labor of Binh Phuoc Province said that during the dinner on October 12, hundreds of members of the rehabilitation center claimed smoking. Many people asked to not block the tobacco supply from the outside.

Once their ridiculous claim was rejected, they provoked hundreds of people to scream, smash the doors to run out. At 9pm, hundreds of people broke a wall and escaped from the center.

Despite the support of the police, the drug addicts were very crowded and they acted spontaneously, the functional forces intercepted only a few people. The remaining 131 people crossed the wall to escape.

The rehabilitation center continued to coordinate with the police to hunt escaped people. By noon of October 13, about 80 people were seized.

According to Nhan, a few days ago the center discovered a drug and tobacco supplying ring to drug addicts in the center and stopped it. Some students “hungered” for drug and tobacco, leading to their spontaneous action and their escape.

The local authorities are continuing to hunt the escaped peope.
