VietNamNet Bridge – On the opening day, April 29, the exhibition "Vietnam's Hoang Sa - The historical evidences" at the Da Nang City Museum welcomed hundreds of foreign visitors.

Chairman of the Hoang Sa Island District – Mr. Dang Cong Ngu introduced to the foreign guests the historical documents which are valuable evidences for Vietnam’s management and exploration of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) from the 17th century in peaceful and continuous manner, consistent with international law.

Ngu demonstrated that fact by a series of old documents and maps that originate from many countries around the world, including China. These are historical and legal evidences that no one can deny the truth: Hoang Sa belongs to Vietnam.

The exhibit provides information as well as an objective view of the history of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa to international friends, domestic and foreign scholars and the international community.

Mr. Ian Lister, a British researcher, said that the exhibition has provided sufficient information on the historical evidence of the sovereignty of Vietnam over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

With the historical evidence consistent with international law, Vietnam should soon bring the evidences to the UN and to enlist the support of the international community in the struggle for the sovereignty of Vietnam over Hoang Sa, Truong Sa and ensure free trade and security, maritime safety in the East Sea, recommended Lister.

The exhibition "Vietnam's Hoang Sa - The historical evidences" will open until May 15.
