The Hai Phong Customs Agency has said that it seized four shipments of used heavyweight motorcycles and electronic products, packed in 10 containers, imported to the port of Hai Phong.

The Customs Control Division of Hai Phong Customs Department discovered three shipments that were declared as LX125 scooters and computer screens, packed in six containers, with signs of violation.

The shipments came from Hong Kong by ship, entered the port of Hai Phong on June 19. On the immigration documents, the Tam Nhin Xa Transportation Services Trade Company is the consignee (delivery agent).

Checking the six containers, customs officers detected hundreds of heavyweight motorcycles (including many motorcycles of up to 1,800 cc) and a lot of used computers and electronic appliances. These products are banned from import into Vietnam. The Hai Phong Customs Department has decided to temporarily seize the goods for investigation.

Also during this time, the Hai Phong Customs Department detected and seized 169 heavyweight motorcycles, 11,425 used laptops, 11,787 used computer monitors and over 1,760 used CPUs, packed in four containers.
