VietNamNet Bridge – On the afternoon of October 6, more than 60 dragons, unicorns, and phoenixes attended the Hanoi Dragon Dance Festival at the My Dinh Stadium Square. A troupe brought to the competition a hundred-meter-long dragon, with the contributions of hundreds of people.

The Hanoi Dragon Dance Festival 2012 was held to celebrate
 the city’s Liberation Day 10/10.



Twenty-seven teams from districts attended the competition, with
 hundreds of athletes and more than 60 dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, etc.





Dragon and lion dance is indispensable traditional culture in festivals.
The organizers said, after the success of this festival, the event would be held annually.



After the opening, troupes performed in the cheers of the audience.



Thousands of people flocked to the My Dinh stadium square to attend the festival.



Teams brought about various performances. Some troupes used dozens
 of dragons, unicorns, and phoenixes.

Colorful dragons winded, rolled and waved under solid and
 healthy hands of young men.



There were boys who performed lion dances very professionally.


The festival also had women's dragon dance troupes.



The performance with a 100-meter-long dragon of the Thanh Oai
 district team, with the participation of nearly hundred athletes, closed the festival.





The dragon dance festival ended with many prizes being awarded to participants.
