VietNamNet Bridge – Hundreds of villas, worth at least VND5 billion ($250,000) each, have been abandoned for nearly a decade in districts 2 and 9.



 

The 174 ha Thanh My Loi residential area project was allocated by the HCM City People’s Committee to 15 investors in the period 2004-2012.

 

 

 

 
 

 

 

 
 

An investor said that this firm built 42 villas and 300 European-style luxury apartments at a total cost of over 1,000 billion (nearly $50 million) for lease. This project is expected to be completed in 2017.

 

 

 
 

In An Khang - Phu Huu residential area in District 9, there are about 350 villas but only several of them are occupied.
