The event is part of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s official visit to Vietnam and the culture, sport and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien, Vietnam and Hungary have shared long-lasting cooperation with fruitful outcomes, especially in culture, sports and tourism.

She said that the exhibition, which will also be held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 16 to November 5, aims to introduce the pottery art of Hungary as well as the people, nation and culture of Hungary to Vietnamese community.

The event is expected to deepen the friendship and mutual understanding between the two nations, especially on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries, she said.

Held in Vietnam for the first time, the exhibition displays 200 pottery products of fork pottery facilities and many famous artisans of Hungary, which reflected the philosophy of Hungarian people in the 21st century.

Since early 18th century, Hungary has run one of the largest European porcelain production factory, the Meissen factory. In the 19th century, many similar factories were opened in other localities such as Herend and Pecs, becoming hubs for talent artists.
