Writer-poet Kieu Bich Hau and her Art Danubius Literature Prize given by the Art Danubius Literature Society of Hungary.
In 2020, Bao Ninh’s short story collection The Camp of the Seven Dwarfs (A Hét Törpe Tábora) was translated into Hungarian by Gabor Pap and was subsequently published by AB ART Publishing House.
One year later, Quang Dao’s poetry collection Flying in a Dream (Repülés Álomban) was translated into Hungarian by Balázs F. Attila before being released by the same publishing house.
Meanwhile, writer-poet Kieu Bich Hau received the honour for her contributions to ‘nurturing and deepening literary and cultural relations between Vietnam and Hungary’.
Her novel The Oath of Budapest has been translated into Hungarian by Gabor Pap and Laura Do Dinh and is set to be published in Hungary in the near future.
The Art Danubius Literature Prize is typically presented to writers, poets, artists, and activists in the field of literature and art whose outstanding works have been published and presented in Hungary, contributing to promoting the development of local literature and art.
