Former Miss International Queen 2018 Huong Giang has been officially announced as Vietnam’s representative at Miss Universe 2025, sparking excitement among beauty pageant fans nationwide.

Huong Giang, born Nguyen Ngoc Hieu in 1991 in Hanoi, made history in 2018 when she was crowned Miss International Queen in Thailand.

Before reaching international acclaim, she first entered the spotlight through Vietnam Idol 2012 and later built a diverse career as a singer, actress, MC, and producer.

Notably, she has served as both producer and judge for Miss International Queen Vietnam, a beauty contest for transgender women that has contributed to raising awareness and supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Vietnam.

With Miss Universe now allowing transgender contestants, Huong Giang carries both hope and responsibility to inspire messages of diversity and inclusion on the global stage.

To prepare for Miss Universe 2025, she is training intensively in catwalk, public speaking, and social issue awareness, with a focus on sustainability and equality - common themes in the pageant.

She is also supported by a team of leading experts in fashion, makeup, and fitness to ensure her most polished appearance on the international stage.
