Tourists flock to Mau Son to see ice

According to the Hydro-meteorological Center of Lao Cai province, the temperature in Lao Cai City was 10.6 degrees Celsius, Bac Ha town 5.6 degrees Celsius, and Sa Pa 1.6 degrees Celsius yesterday. This is the lowest temperature from the Lunar New Year.

In Sa Pa, there was little rain, drizzle accompanied by thick fog. The cold spell is forecast to last for about 4-5 days.

On the same day, in Mau Son (Lang Son province), the temperature was down to nearly -3oC, ice and snow covered the branches of trees and grass. Tourists are flocking to Mau Son to witness this phenomenon.

In Hanoi, the temperature also dropped to 10-11oC.
