Quang Ninh province, 160 km northeast of Hanoi, is an ideal destination with a number of beautiful places including Ha Long Bay, Bai Chay, Cat Ba, Co To and Quan Lan Islands. When the mercury climbs, the beautiful Tam Dao National Park stays refreshingly cool and is a top destination near Hanoi for a summer retreat. Visiting Mai Chau, a small town in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh you will further experience Vietnam with a warm and welcoming population and unspoiled natural beauty. Situated on the southern shore of the Red River Delta, Trang An is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, some of which are submerged, and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. Ecopark is located on a tree-covered area of nearly 500 ha, southeast of Hanoi . It is considered a giant lung for northern Vietnam and has become a popular tourist site. Dai Lai Lake in Vinh Phuc province is the best place for kids who like water activities like rowing, fishing, and skiing. Dong Mo in Son Tay district, around 40km from Hanoi, is an interesting place for water games.
