VietNamNet Bridge – Customs officials at Tan Son Nhat International Airport here have seized 30,000 prohibited and addictive tablets worth more than VND2 billion (US$94,340).

The tablets, to be transported from France to Cambodia through Viet Nam, were hidden in a package containing various goods and were found when they were sent from France to the airport as a transit location last Monday.

The tablets from Kim Quang Trading and Logistics Company Ltd. have been listed as one of the imports that are prohibited in Viet Nam in line with an agreement with Cambodia signed on December 26, 2013.

The tablets are also on the black list of Viet Nam's Law on Drug Prevention and Control. The case is under investigation.
