VietNamNet Bridge – The authorities of Da Lat city have decided to destroy tunnels built by illegal tin exploiters in the Valley of Love by explosive.



The city plans to set off mines in these tunnels in early June, using 300-500kg of explosive.

Before setting explosion, the authorities will use loudspeakers to call for tin exploiters to get out of the tunnels.

On May 25, sappers made a survey in this network of tunnels and found out a total of four doors to get into the tangled tunnels. There was a lot of food, drink and equipment inside the tunnel.

The local authorities blockaded this area 24/7 since May 17 but the drink, food and equipment left in the tunnels showed that illegal tin miners kept operating there.

A tin miner said that all tunnels head to the tin ground which was leveled five years ago because this site is said to have large tin reserve.
