Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, who lives nearby, said providing clean toilets
like this leaves a good impression on local residents and tourists about
the Old Quarter.
The Thang Long SP Trade & Real Estate Investing JSC, who built
the toilet, is also building two more, at 5 Hang Giay Street and 50 Gia
Ngu Street. The total cost of the three new toilets is estimated at VND2
billion ($89,360).
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, Hanoi has about 340 public toilets but they fall short of what people expect.
The toilet has three large rooms for men, women and the disabled. There is a Hanoi tourist map in the toilet.
The toilet uses modern equipment like a hotel, and orange as the main color.
The toilet was built by a local enterprise, and it will be transferred to the city in the near future.
Toilets are equipped with air conditioners.
The light system is also nice.
The toilet is very clean. Visitors are banned from smoking here.
