The program started at 8pm and lasted 24 hours. From late afternoon, thousands of people gathered in front of the restaurant to wait for free food. The only condition to take part in the program was that the food receiver must be riding a motorcycle or a bicycle.
At 8pm, motorcycles began moving into the restaurant.
Customers had to read the correct slogan of the program to receive food.
After an hour of waiting, some people got free food.
After over an hour, 1,000 servings were delivered, a staff said.
Many cyclo drivers also joined the queue after work.
Waiting a long time, many people were tired. Mr. Thanh, from District 5, said: "My family came here quite early. But it took us more than one hour to enter the gate."
