1. Le Sy Vinh, born in 1980, met the requirements to be titled as Professor in Information Technology.

Vinh, from Nghe An, is now Dean of IT Faculty of the Hanoi University of Technology, a member of Hanoi National University.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Hanoi National University; and a doctorate from Heinrich-Heine University in Germany. In 2015, he was granted the title of Associate Professor. 

Vinh has published 64 scientific articles, including 32 articles published in prestigious international journals.

He won a gold medal at the 1998 International Olympiad of Informatics (IOI) in Portugal when he was a 12th grader of Le Quy Don High School.

2. Le Trung Thanh, born in 1980, met the requirements to be recognized as professor majoring in electronics.

Thanh, from Vinh Phuc, is now Rector of the International University under Hanoi National University. He obtained a bachelor’s degree, and then master’s degree from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and obtained a doctorate from La Trobe University in Australia.

In 2013, he was recognized as Associate Professor at the age of 33. He has published 84 scientific articles, including 32 articles in prestigious international journals.

3. Luu Quang Vinh, born in 1980, met the requirements to become Professor in Forestry.

Vinh, from Ninh Binh, now works at the Faculty of Forest Natural Resource Management and the Environment of the University of Forestry. He obtained a bachelor’s degree, and then master’s degree from the school where he works, and then obtained a doctorate from Cologne University in Germany.

He received the title of Associate Professor in 2021. To date, he has published 92 articles, including 51 in prestigious journals.

4. Tran Van Hieu, born in 1981, met the requirement to become Professor in Biology.

Hieu, from Khanh Hoa, is now a senior lecturer of the HCM City University of Natural Sciences under the HCM City National University.

He has a bachelor’s degree and then master’s degree at the school where he works, and then got a doctorate from Würzburg University in Germany. He was recognized as Associate Professor in 2016. 

He has published 98 articles, including 43 in prestigious journals.

5. Dinh Minh Quang, born in 1983, met the requirements to be recognized as Professor in Biology.

Quang, from Soc Trang, now works for Can Tho University. He graduated from Can Tho University with a bachelor’s degree. After that, he obtained a master’s degree from the Hanoi University of Education, and a doctorate from Flinders University in Australia. 

In 2020, he was granted the title of Associate Professor. Quang is the author of 96 articles, including 72 in international journals.

6. Mai Hoang Bien, born in 1982, is expected to be recognized as Professor in Maths.

Bien, from Quang Ngai, is now Dean of Mathematics Faculty of the HCM City University of Natural Sciences under the HCM City National University.

He obtained a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree from the HCM City University of Natural Sciences, and later, a doctorate from Padova University in Italy and Leiden University in the Netherlands. He became an Associate Professor in 2019 and has published 46 articles in prestigious journals.

7. Le Hoang Truong, born in 1984, met the requirements to be recognized as Professor in Maths.

Truong, from Nam Dinh, currently works at the Institute of Mathematics - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He graduated from the University of Natural Sciences under Hanoi National University.

He graduated from the University of Natural Sciences, obtained a master’s degree from Thai Nguyen University and a doctorate from Meiji University (Japan), and became Associate Professor in 2020. He is the author of 30 scientific articles in prestigious international journals.

8. Do Van Nam, born in 1980, from Ha Nam, Professor of Physics.

He is now a lecturer at Phenikaa University. He obtained a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the Hanoi University of Education, and a doctorate from Paris XI University in France. He became Associate Professor in 2016 and has published 38 articles, including 34 in prestigious journals.

9. Nguyen Thanh Tung, born 1983, Professor of Physics

Tung, from Ninh Binh, is Head of Plasma Technology Department, Institute of Materials Science under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology; obtained a master's degree from Hanyang University (South Korea); and a doctorate from Leuven University (Belgium). He has published 157 articles, of which 121 were in international journals.

10. Nguyen Hoang Giang, born in 1980, Professor in Civil Engineering

Giang is from Nam Dinh and he is the Vice Principal of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. He graduated from the university where he is working; has a master's degree from Toyohashi University (Japan); and a doctorate from Saitama University (Japan). He was appointed associate professor in 2016 and has published 70 articles, including 29 in prestigious international scientific journals.
