VietNamNet Bridge - With modern and environmentally friendly architecture, the following projects are expected to change the face of Ho Chi Minh City, as assessed by Saigoneer.

1. Vietcombank Tower

Address: Ton Duc Thang Street and Hai Ba Trung Street, District 1

Expected completion: 10/2015

Vietcombank Tower is the second tallest tower in Saigon, just behind the BITEXCO building.

With a height of 206 m, an area of 71,000 m2, Vietcombank Tower will be a luxurious office building located on the west bank of the Saigon River. It will also be the headquarters of Vietcombank.

2. Thao Dien Premium Residential Area

Address: Highway 1A, District 2

Expected completion: 1/2016

The Thao Dien High-class Residential Area will be used for different purposes.

The project, covering eight hectares, will include four towers, each tower of 40-43 floors. The Vincom shopping mall will cover 120,000 m2, lakes, parks and schools.

3. Dai Quang Minh Project

Address: Thu Thiem, District 2

Expected completion: 1/2016

It will be the first large scale work in Thu Thiem, with an area of 128 ha.

The environmentally friendly project includes condominiums, villas, schools, shopping centers, cinemas, sports centers, restaurants and a marina.

4. Nguyen Cu Trinh New Urban Area

Address: Intersection of Tran Dinh Xu, Nguyen Trai, Nguyen Cu Trinh and Cong Quynh, District 1

Expected completion: 2020

This project is the result of collaboration between BITEXCO and Perkin Eastman & CZ Studio.

The purpose of the project is to develop a complex of houses, offices, hotels, cinemas and business district with a total area of 650,000 m2.

The project was expected to start in 2014, but has not kicked off yet.

5. SSG Tower

Address: 561 Dien Bien Phu, Binh Thanh District

Expected completion: late 2015

SSG Tower, one of the few large-scale projects located near the Saigon Bridge, will become a complex of offices, apartments, supermarkets, cinemas and shops.
