VietNamNet Bridge – The Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) has announced that its national football team cannot take part in the friendly match with Vietnam, scheduled for September 22 at the National My Dinh Stadium.

Indonesia’s cancellation is mainly due to the fact that there are two national teams, one under the PSSI and another under the Indonesian Football Rescue Committee (KPSI).

Both the PSSI and the KPSI claimed that their teams are eligible to attend the 2012 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup.

The PSSI proposed replaying it after 7-10 days. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), however, said it will negatively affect the original plan of its national squad.

The VFF then asked the PSSI to play the match on October 6 but was refused.

This unwanted situation may lead to a twist of fortune for the VFF as tickets for the match have been sold out and all necessary preparations such as the playing ground selection and broadcasting schedule and commercials already made.
