Triwening Puji Astuti, 28, a babysitter, was accused of smuggling drugs from Malaysia to Ha Noi in Viet Nam.

In September last year, she smuggled 5,000g of drugs to Ha Noi by hiding it in six comic books in a suitcase.

She was arrested on September 12, 2014, while waiting for a drug receiver.

During her interrogation, Triwening admitted to the crime, stating that her poor financial condition had forced her into drug smuggling. One of her friends introduced her to a smuggler and soon she started helping him carry drugs to many countries.

For every successful shipment, she received US$2,000.
