VietNamNet Bridge - On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2018), the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Central Vietnam Youth Union have launched the photo contest entitled "Vietnamese-Japanese young people join hands to build Vietnam – Japan friendship”.

The photo contest, according to the organizers, aims to raise awareness among young people about the friendly relationship between Vietnam-Japan and help the Japanese people in general and the Japanese youth in particular better understand the country and people of Vietnam in the integration period.

The entries should be the photos illustrating solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan; bilateral diplomatic activities since the two countries established diplomatic relations and upgraded their relations into the strategic partnership; the cultural exchanges, economic and political events taking place in the two countries that have left a good impression in the hearts of the two peoples.

In addition, the entries also include beautiful photos of the people, customs, community activities, unique cultural features, and achievements in the development of the two countries. Importantly, the entries must reflect the true events and real characters.

The criteria for selecting the winners are the clear themes and ideas of the works, which indicate the relationship between Vietnam and Japan as well as the uniqueness and the inspiration of the works. The entry must have a caption attached in Vietnamese, Japanese and English.

The photo contest "Vietnamese-Japanese young people join hands to build Vietnam – Japan friendship” opens for all Vietnamese and Japanese citizens, including professional and amateur photographers as well as journalists.

The organizers said that one first prize worth VND30 million; two second prizes worth VND10 million; 5 third prizes worth VND5 million; and 5 consolation prizes of VND2 million each will be presented.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will present a VND5 million prize to the organization that submit the highest number of entries.

In addition to cash, the winners will receive the certificates of merit from the Minister of Information and Communications, the certificates of merit from the Youth Union of Vietnam and the certificate of the Organizing Committee.

Deadline for submissions is September 30th, 2018.

The entries can be submitted directly or by post to: the Central Vietnam Youth Union Office, 64 Ba Trieu Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
