Update news information security in Vietnam
The Ministry of Information and Communications has requested organisations, and enterprises to take measures to ensure cybersecurity during the celebration of the upcoming holiday.
The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) on November 30 launched a management support platform to assist agencies and organisations in ensuring safety of their information systems.
Receiving spam calls is common among mobile phone users in Vietnam but many have been threatened recently after telling the invasive callers to stop annoying them.
Only a third of the agencies and enterprises in Vietnam have set regulations for information security; 57 percent of corporations didn't either nor have investment funding for their information security programme upgrading or constructing.
National Assembly deputies voted to approve the Law on Cyber Information Safety during their plenary session in Hanoi on November 19.
The majority (81 percent) of agencies and organizations in Vietnam allow their workers access to local networks with their personal mobile devices, while 74 percent do not have any solution to ensure information security and control mobile devices.
