VietNamNet Bridge – A Vietnamese man who guided a 14-year-old Russian boy to play golf and broke his six teeth agreed to pay compensation of $12,000.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department on Wednesday said that a Russian tourist - Mr. Victor Dvoynikov had accepted $12,000 compensation from a Vietnamese man named H. to treat wounds of his son - Dvoynikov Stepan, 14.
According to a representative of the Diamond Bay Resort & Spa in Nha Trang city, in the afternoon of August 11, Victor and his son who hired rooms in the resort, practiced golf in the resort.
Hearing the Russian boy complaining that play golf is too difficult, Mr. H, also a customer at the resort taught the boy to play golf.
While instructing the boy, H accidently whipped the club to his face, making six teeth broken and facial injuries.
On August 14, Mr. H. and the boy’s family agreed on $12,000 compensation to treat the wounds. The same day, the Russian family returned home.
