The MoU marks a crucial step in cooperation between the Department and Intel Security for boosting IT use and management in Da Nang over the past few years.
As agreed upon in the MoU, Intel Security will provide a complete Endpoint Protection suite and build a library for cyber security in Da Nang that will impart a structure to network security, personal training and knowledge for users.
Last year, the city had launched the Da Nang's e-Government system, including the IT and communications infrastructure; IT applications, policy and mechanism on IT and communication and IT manpower resources.
The system would also help connect all the city agencies and grassroots administration, online public services, e-Government frames and the overall e-Government architecture.
The city had also introduced a centre for free public service with 2,100 procedures for local residents and businesses and a public transaction and consultancy centre, with 120 contact agents, and wireless internet (wi-fi) free services, with a maximum of 20,000 connections at a time for locals and tourists in major centres and streets in the city.
Da Nang is the first city in Viet Nam to introduce a paperless administration office in the Lien Chieu district for easing the manual procedures followed by local residents.
