VietNamNet Bridge – Two foreign teams from Shanghai (China) and the Royal Thai Air Force of Thailand have joined four Vietnamese teams at the International Men’s Open Volleyball Tournament – Arirang Cup 2012 – which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on July 20.
The week-long event aims to provide a chance for strong domestic teams to hone their skills in preparation for the 2nd round of the National Volleyball Championships 2012.
Competitors will compete in a round robin format and the best four teams will enter the semi-finals and finals.
The champion team will receive a cash prize of US$8,000, while the second and third runners-up will get US$5,000 and US$3,000, respectively.
