Update news international publications
Having scientific articles published in Nature and Science is a lifelong dream of many scientists, including countries with developed science sectors, according to Prof Ta Thanh Van, President of Hanoi Medical University.
About 10 years ago, a mathematician said that Vietnam did not yet have social science study works. The comment seemed to be a bit harsh, but it did make sense, especially when it comes to international publications.
A new study by Duy Tan University found that 12,307 articles in international publications in 2019 can be found at Vietnamese addresses, 85 percent of which were by researchers in the educational sector.
Vietnam is the fastest growing country in the region in terms of articles in scientific publications, while Singapore, India and Pakistan have the highest output.
