Reports from major retailers such as CellphoneS, FPT Shop, The Gioi Di Dong, and various authorized stores in Hanoi confirm that the iPhone 16 series is experiencing the steepest price drop since launch, with reductions ranging from 11% to 24%, depending on the variant.
The sharpest declines are seen in the iPhone 16 (256 GB) and iPhone 16 Plus (128 GB). From original launch prices of VND 25.5 million and VND 28 million in 2024, these models now sell for just VND 21.89 million (approximately USD 895), reflecting a 13-15% drop for the standard version and 20-24% for the Plus.

In the premium segment, iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are also seeing significant markdowns. The iPhone 16 Pro Max (256 GB) now sells for VND 29.99–30.39 million (USD 1,225–1,240), a drop of 11–14%. Some sellers are even listing it at VND 29.49 million (USD 1,205).
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro (128 GB) has fallen from VND 28.99 million to around VND 25–26 million (USD 1,020–1,060), making it an attractive option for users wanting to experience the Pro series at a more affordable price.
The iPhone 15 lineup has hit all-time lows since its release. Across all models, prices have dropped by 14% to 27%, depending on the variant.
The standard iPhone 15 (128 GB) now costs just VND 15.19–15.29 million (USD 620–625), significantly lower than its initial price. Even the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB) has fallen to VND 26.99 million (USD 1,100), representing a discount of up to 23%.
Older models like iPhone 14, 13, and 12 are also seeing further reductions to clear inventory. A used iPhone 14 Pro Max (128 GB) is now available from VND 17 million (USD 695), while new units are priced between VND 25.59–27.99 million (USD 1,045–1,145). Prices for iPhone 14 and 14 Plus have also dropped significantly, with the standard version sometimes available for just VND 12.19 million (USD 500).
As for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, used units are now being sold starting from VND 13.69 million (USD 560).
Tuyet Mai, an employee at a retail chain, explained that the release of the iPhone 17 has put immense pressure on iPhone 16 sales, forcing retailers to slash prices to stay competitive.
In addition, a stable supply of iPhone 16s one year after launch, combined with aggressive promotions like direct discounts, trade-in programs, and bank payment incentives, has driven the iPhone 16 series to record low prices.
This is considered one of Apple’s most aggressive pricing adjustments in Vietnam in recent years.
Currently, the iPhone 15 still meets the needs of most users. The iPhone 14 and 13 remain strong mid-range options, while the iPhone 12 suits budget-conscious users looking for an entry-level iPhone.
These dramatic price cuts offer not just opportunities for everyday users to own a new iPhone, but also for those seeking premium devices at lower costs. However, prices may vary by retailer and specific promotional campaigns.
iPhone prices may continue to fall once the iPhone 17 becomes widely available or during year-end sales. Consumers should be cautious, though, as steeper discounts may lead to a rise in refurbished or counterfeit products. Purchasing from reputable retailers is essential to ensure product quality and warranty coverage.
