A sleek design with a slightly “transparent” back, bold new colors that draw attention, and a camera system capable of competing with professional photography gear are among the rumors surrounding Apple’s highly anticipated flagship models - the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max - expected to debut in September 2026.

According to leaks cited by sources such as MacRumors, CNET and Forbes, excitement around Apple’s next-generation Pro lineup is already building within the tech community.

If these reports prove accurate, the 2026 Pro models could become one of the most intriguing iPhone generations in years.

A fresh design with a semi-transparent back

Apple has long been known for its philosophy of gradual design evolution rather than radical change. With the iPhone 18 Pro series, the company may continue that approach but with a bold twist.

One of the biggest rumors centers on a new glass finish on the back that creates a semi-transparent effect, replacing the current two-tone aesthetic.

According to leaked descriptions, the back panel may allow users to subtly glimpse parts of the device’s internal structure, creating a more futuristic appearance and a smoother visual transition between the metal frame and glass surface.

This design could make the iPhone appear more premium while eliminating the strong color contrast between different materials. Instead, the entire device would feature a more unified and refined look.

Display sizes are expected to remain largely unchanged. The iPhone 18 Pro may retain a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could continue with a 6.9-inch screen.

However, the Pro Max version may become slightly heavier, exceeding 240g and slightly thicker to accommodate a larger battery.

The rear camera module could also receive subtle refinements, with a more streamlined camera platform that still retains the familiar triple-lens layout but appears more balanced.

In addition, the Ceramic Shield ring surrounding the MagSafe charging area could adopt a semi-transparent design, further reinforcing the device’s futuristic aesthetic.

Bolder color options for the Pro lineup
