Iran took control of the match from the first minute and quickly scored 4-0 in the first half.

After the break, Viet Nam's coach Bruno Garcia adjusted tactics and the team managed to cut down Iran's strength, creating some critical situations.

Dinh Thuan scored the only goal for Viet Nam in the second half, but Iran scored two more goals.

The match was a warm-up for the International Futsal Grand Prix to be held in Brazil from November 12 to 16. The competition will feature six teams, including hosts Brazil, who are in Group A with Viet Nam and Colombia. Group B has Iran, Guatemala and Costa Rica.

As scheduled, Viet Nam will meet defending champions Brazil today. The match will be broadcast live on the SportTV channel.

Viet Nam defeated Brazil 3-2 in their last match in HCM City in November 2013.

Long An in Binh Duong semis

Despite a 2-3 loss to Thailand's BEC Tero Sasana FC yesterday, Dong Tam Long An topped Group A at the Binh Duong Television-Number One Cup tournament.

Long An had six points after three matches, giving it a semifinal berth.

In a later match in the same group, hosts Becamex Binh Duong tied 0-0 with the South Korean University Selection Team. The result kicked Binh Duong out of the eight-team tournament, as they ended up third in the group.

The Korean students, placed second with four points, won the second semifinal berth from the group.

In today's action, Ayeyawady United FC of Myanmar will play Quang Ninh Coal and Sport Clube Capixaba of Brazil will face SHB Da Nang in the last round match of Group B.
