On the evening of November 11, the closing and awards ceremony of the 2024 HANIFF took place at Ho Guom Theater. Following an explosive performance of ‘Trong Com’ by Cuong Seven and Soobin Hoang Son, the “Promising Young Actor” award was presented by judge Hua Vi Van to actress Ngoc Xuan for her portrayal of Mien in ‘Once Upon a Time in a Story’. Ngoc Xuan expressed her gratitude to the director for casting her, and to her crew and co-stars for their support.

The ‘‘Vietnamese Audience Favorite Film’’ in the "Contemporary Vietnamese Cinema Program" was ‘Our Blossom’, a co-production between Vietnam and Hungary.
The 2024 HANIFF’s closing ceremony ended with a powerful performance by Thu Minh, who sang two famous English-language movie themes: ‘Never Enough’ (from ‘The Greatest Showman’) and ‘When You Believe’ (from ‘The Prince of Egypt’).
The 2024 Hanoi International Film Festival welcomed 800 delegates from Vietnam and around the world. Over five days, 117 films from 51 countries and regions were screened across three cinema venues. The festival also included in-depth workshops, including "Spotlight on German Cinema" and discussions on producing films with historical themes or adapted from literary works.
Additionally, film crews held lively, interactive sessions with audiences before or after screenings, creating a vibrant atmosphere that attracted local Hanoi residents and international visitors alike. These exchanges fostered meaningful learning opportunities among filmmakers from Vietnam and abroad and contributed to promoting tourism in Hanoi and Vietnam.
