Six members of Lacuna Coin were warmly welcomed by many fans at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on the evening of July 18.
Today, July 19, the group spent time practicing for the Tiger Translate: Battle of the Band show on July 20, at Crescent Residence, Phu My Hung, District 7.
Lacuna Coil is a familiar name with the fans of Gothic Metal rock in the world. The band was formed in 1994 in Milan, Italy. Initially, the group was named Sleeping of Right. In 1996, the group changed some members and sent two demos to several record companies in Europe with a new name, Ethereal. In 1997, the band signed a contract with Century Media and launched its first product in 1998 with the name Lacuna Coil.
The current members of Lacuna Coil are: singer Cristina Scabbia (lead vocals, joining the band from 1996), Andrea Ferro (male voice, joining the band from 1994), Cristiano "Pizza" Migliore (guitarist, from 1998), Marco "Maus" Biazzi (guitarist, from 1999), Marco Coti Zelati (keyboard, from 1994) and Cristiano "Criz" Mozzati (drummer, percussion, from 1998).
Their debut album is titled “In A Reverie”, which was released a year later. The third studio album – “Comalies” - marked a major step forward. With this album, Lacuna Coil achieved the first success in the American music market. Many films and television series, video games used Lacuna Coil's songs.
In 2006, the band released the studio album titled “Karmacode,” which jumped to the 28th position of Billboard 200. Lacuna Coil began to be invited to perform at some of the biggest music events, sharing the stage with veteran rock bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Toll, Guns n 'Roses, Ozzy Osbourne ... and attracted a huge number of worldwide fans. In 2007, the band’s first live album was released – Visual Karma (Body, Mind and Soul).
"Dark Adrenaline" is the sixth studio album and the lastest album by Lacuna Coil. This album was released in January 2012 with 20,000 copies sold in the first week. The album immediately climbed to No. 15 of the Billboard 200 and achieved a lot of success in the European market and a number of other areas in the world.
