The Binh Duong-born player, as well as Ly Hoang Nam, both qualified for the boys' quarterfinals at the on-going ITF Vietnam International Championships in Binh Duong Province.
Mach is set to face Lee Li Lun from Chinese Taipei, tournament top seed, Philippino Mendoza Jurence Zosimo and Nakamura Ren from Japan.
Vietnamese prodigy Nguyen Hoang Thien withdrew from the tournament due to commitments abroad.
In the girl's division, Huynh Phi Khanh will be Viet Nam's best chance, competing against five host players in a tournament that has drawn over 135 players from 28 countries.
Binh Duong and Bac Lieu provinces have both been selected by the ITF as destinations for its annual Viet Nam International Junior Championships.
