VietNamNet Bridge – Mr. Hiroyoshi Yamamoto, Chair of Japanese FC Azul Claro Numazu, will guide and select young football talents at the first summer football camp in Vietnam.

Mr. Hiroyoshi Yamamoto has been to Vietnam several times with his team to play friendly matches. This time, he will return to Vietnam to participate in a project to seek and develop young football players for Vietnam, titled “For the future of Vietnam’s football.”

This project will be kicked off by a summer football camp, from June 10 to July 10, 2012.

“We hope that through this program, Vietnamese children will be trained with teamwork, physical strength and advanced skills,” said. Hiroyoshi Yamamoto.

This program will also have the participation of Mr. Masakuni Yamamoto, the former coach of Japan’s U23 national team, and some former football stars of Vietnam like Nguyen Hong Son and Dang Thanh Phuong.

Experts will select 60 kids for the camp through a football festival in Hanoi on June 2-3.

Azul Claro Numazu is a club that provides young football talents. In 2006, when taking his team to Vietnam for friendly games, the Japanese coach was surprised by Vietnamese child players.

“My club has over 1,000 trainees at the age of 5-15 but individually, my players are not as good as Vietnamese players at the same age,” he said.
