These media agencies clearly depicted scenes when the Chinese ships chased until it sunk a Vietnamese fishing vessel. Fuji said the images are proof of China’s inhumane actions.

NHK noted that Vietnam’s fishing ship was attacked several times from behind by a much larger Chinese ship. Due to the powerful collision, the Vietnamese ship was unable to maintain control and sunk, it reported.

TBS, Fuji and TV Asahi also showed clear images of China’s ship chasing the Vietnamese vessel until it later capsised.

Other leading media agencies of Japan, including Nikkei, Yomiuri and Kyodo, reported news on Vietnam releasing images of China’s attack against Vietnam, and commented that these images strongly contradict China’s statement accusing Vietnam of sinking its ship.
