Hai won the top medal with the best throw of 24.88m in the women’s category while the world record was 23m.

Meanwhile, runner Nguyen Thi Thuy clinched the third gold for the athletics team after running the 100m in a time of 15:84

Vietnam’s other gold medal was pocketed by the women’s table tennis team after defeating their Indonesian rivals.

The Vietnamese team is currently placed in third with 46 golds, behind Indonesia and Thailand. Malaysia is chasing the pack and is currently on 40 golds.
