VietNamNet Bridge – Hearing that her husband has a paramour, a woman who was at 4th-month pregnancy, in Hoi An town of Quang Nam province, burned herself by kerosene.

The incident occurred in the morning of May 7. The pregnant woman poured two liters of kerosene on her body and lit a lamp. The flame flared up and burnt the woman.

The silly act was urged just by a rumor. The woman only heard that her husband, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tho, 26, had love affair with another woman. After a quarrel on the morning of May 7, Tho left his home. Staying home alone, the woman, named T, was muddle-headed.

A similar case happed in August 2010 in the central province of Quang Ngai. Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, 32, burnt herself when she was at the sixth-month pregnancy.

This woman was said to be sad about her husband, Mr. Tu Van Hoa, 44, who was usually drunken and beat her. Though neighbors stamped out the fire early, the woman was not rescued.
