VietNamNet Bridge - Jesse Campbell, the outstanding member of Christina Aguilera’s team in the second season of The Voice America arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of January 5 to join the top 4 of The Voice Vietnam in the final competition on January 13.

After the appearance of the first season runner-up Dia Frampton in the semi-final night on December 30, The Voice Vietnam will welcome a special guest from The Voice of America - Jesse Campbell.

He is the outstanding contestant in the team of Christina in the second season and was considered a candidate for the championship. However, he was rejected by his coach in the quarterfinal after performing Beyonce's Halo. Christina’s decision used to be intensely criticized by the American media and audience. This is also considered to be the most shocking event in The Voice USA in the second season.

Many people believed that because of this, in the third season, the organizers had to add the rule "Steal” in the Battle round to avoid such a case.

In the Blind round, Jesse Campbell sang the song “A Song for You” from Leon Russell in the early 1970s. After 10 seconds, Christina, Adam and CeeLo rang the bell and swiveled their chairs. Blake Shelton was also convinced by the 42-year-old voice from Illinois later.

In the Battle round, Jesse Campbell and Anthony Evans made up one of the best duet in the three season of The Voice America with the song “If I Ain’t Got You” of Alicia Keys. Christina chose Jesse for the Liveshow round.

In the first night of the Liveshow round, Jesse Campbell brought to the stage of The Voice a Jazz/Soul song “What a Wonderful World”. His performance received numerous praises from Christina Aguilera and the remaining coaches.

Although he was eliminated in the next night, Jesse Campbell is still regarded as one of the most impressive contestants of the second season, even more than the champion Jermaine Paul from the Blake Shelton team.
