VietNamNet Bridge – Joe Wilson, Microsoft Worldwide General Manager of Developer and Platform Engagement, and Danang leaders cut the red ribbon on June 9, inaugurating a new Microsoft innovation centre, the third of its kind in Vietnam.

The state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the latest technology and tools, offering Danang residents programmes and services fostering innovativeness.

The centre, which will be managed by Duy Tan University, is expected to be the catalyst for the next generation of technological innovativeness, in the region.

It aims to provide young aspiring technologists that want to turn their passion into a career an opportunity to get invaluable hands on experience in their creations using the latest technology of Microsoft.

The centre should also serve as a bridge for Vietnamese youth to participate in national and international contests organised by Microsoft such as Mobile Hackathon, Microsoft Image Cup and Microsoft Office Specialist.

Microsoft has established three such centres in Vietnam, with the first in Ho Chi Minh City and the second in Hue.
