This professional MMA tournament, spearheaded by Johnny Tri Nguyen, has the full support and commitment of the Ho Chi Minh City Mixed Martial Arts Federation (HMMAF) throughout its duration.

In this year's GMA season, master Johnny Tri Nguyen has pledged maximum support for the fighters, aiming to position the tournament as "the birthplace of legends" and to deliver intense and thrilling matches that emphasize the spirit of martial arts.

The fighters will compete under professional MMA rules. A notable difference is that instead of fighting in an octagon, as is common in other tournaments, GMA will have fighters compete in a hexagonal ring with ropes and an expanded open space, similar to the rings used in contemporary sports like boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and free fighting.

GMA features a total of five weight categories: 55kg, 57kg, 59kg, 63kg, and 68kg. The first event, scheduled for August 24, will feature quarterfinal matches, with four fighters in each weight class competing in knockout rounds to determine the winners who will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for October 26.

The winners of the semifinal rounds will face one of the six current or former Vietnamese champions from domestic MMA tournaments in the final event on December 28, competing for the championship belt and the title of "Than Vo Viet Nam (Vietnamese Martial Arts God).
