A photograph titled “The Ethnic Diversity of Northern Vietnam” snapped by photographer Alden Anderson is awarded a special prize in the photo collection category.
In total, Alden Anderson’s photo collection features 11 portraits of ethnic people from the north of the country.

Taking the first prize at the exhibition is “Tau Sai festival of the Dao ethnic community with painted heads” by Thanh The Vinh.
The Tau Sai festival is held for 48 couples from the communes of Nam Muoi and Nam Lanh in Van Chan district of Yen Bai province.
Thanh The Vinh specialises in taking photographs of people’s daily lives, landscapes, and the cultural heritage of ethnic groups throughout northern Vietnam.
A photo titled “New day in Tuyen Lam Lake” by Nguyen Tac Tuan is named the winner of a special prize in the cover photo category.
This image known as “Long Bien Bridge” snapped by Tuan Dao wins first prize in the cover photo category. This unique picture captures the iconic bridge at sunset.
A photo taken by Le Viet Khanh is awarded the third prize in the photo collection category.
