Ahead of its premiere, South Korean heartthrob Jung Il-woo has confirmed his arrival in Vietnam to promote Mang me di bo (Mom, Let's Go), his latest film in collaboration with Vietnamese actors Tuan Tran and Hong Dao.

In the film, Jung Il-woo portrays Jeong-min, a gentle and loving Korean husband whose character brings emotional depth to the romantic journey of Le Thi Hanh, played by Juliet Bao Ngoc. Their tender on-screen relationship captures the most beautiful moments in Hanh’s life.
Jung Il-woo, known for his charismatic presence and long list of romantic drama hits such as Unstoppable High Kick, 49 Days, Moon Embracing the Sun, and Good Job, returns to his signature "first love" persona. His youthful charm and heartfelt performance resonate deeply, especially as he plays opposite a Vietnamese love interest in this cross-cultural narrative.
The actor’s popular cross-country trip through Vietnam in mid-2024 sparked viral interest online, which played a key role in leading him to this Vietnam-Korea co-production. His growing fan base in Vietnam can now look forward to seeing him in person.

Jung Il-woo is set to participate in a series of promotional activities, including the official premiere, cinetour fan meetings at cinemas across the country, and a special fan meeting event dedicated to his Vietnamese supporters.
Mang me di bo also stars Tuan Tran and veteran actress Hong Dao, well-known for her role in Mai. The film is directed by Korean filmmaker Mo Hong-jin and produced by Phan Gia Nhat Linh. It boasts a talented cast featuring Juliet Bao Ngoc, Quoc Khanh, Hai Trieu, Lam Vy Da, and Vinh Rau.
The story follows a son's emotional journey as he cares for his mother, who is battling Alzheimer’s disease. Through this touching tale of maternal love, Mang me di bo explores broader themes of friendship, compassion, and the enduring strength of human connections in the face of adversity.
Rated K, the film is suitable for viewers under 13 when accompanied by a parent or guardian. It will have early screenings at 6 p.m. on July 30 and 31, and will officially be released in theaters nationwide starting August 1, 2025.
