American pop singer Katy Perry, the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, on May 12 showed up at the Forbes Under 30 Summit at the Gem Center in HCMC’s District 1 as a speaker to inspire local youth on pursuing their dreams and building their future.

At the event Perry also shared knowledge and discussed with three young local activists on their charitable projects to help the unlucky in Vietnam.
Perry is a former Forbes ‘30 under 30’ alumna. She is currently touring the world on the Prismatic World Tour. During the North American leg of the tour, a dollar per ticket was donated to UNICEF USA for each of the 66 sold out arenas, raising US$765,765 for UNICEF’s programs to save and protect the world’s most vulnerable children.
Participants who are born in the 1970s and 1980s showed their interest in speeches and sharings on the identity of this generation, opportunities and challenges, dreams and goals and leadership visions of key speakers and panelists, including Ton Nu Thi Ninh, former Vietnamese Ambassador to the EU, Truong Gia Binh, founder and chairman of FPT, Le Hong Minh, founder and chairman of VNG Corp., Khailee Ng, managing partner of 500 Startups, Pham Hong Hai, CEO of HSBC Vietnam, and other young stars from the Forbes Vietnam’s 30 Under 30 2015 list.
