American pop star Kelly Clarkson will take the stage on December 6 at the final round of the 2014 Miss Vietnam national beauty pageant.

This is the first performance for the singer and songwriter in Vietnam, whose presence is sponsored by Vinpearl Phu Quoc Joint Stock Company.

In 2002 Clarkson rose to fame after winning the first season of American Idol, and has since been established as “The Original American Idol”.

The Miss Vietnam 2014 pageant is set to take place from November 26 to December 6 in Phu Quoc island district in Kien Giang province and broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television.
