The flight departed from Tashkent International Airport (Uzbekistan) before touching down at Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa) on June 29 morning, carrying onboard nearly 200 passengers, according to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, director of the Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Tourism.
Among them are 30 people from Pegas Group, a travel agency in Uzbekistan, who came to explore the various tourism products on offer in the locality.
Uzbek tourists will stay at three or five-star hotels and resorts in Khanh Hoa during their stay of between 10 and 28 days.
This is the first charter flight from the new market exploited by Pegas Misr Vietnam Travel Co. Ltd., which specialises in Russian and Central Asian markets.
As of July, Khanh Hoa is set to receive a charter flight carrying tourists from Uzbekistan every week.
Since last October, Pegas Misr Vietnam Travel Co. Ltd has brought more than 20,000 travelers from Kazakhstan.
