He overcame Nicolas Nicolas of Indonesia and Javad Nouri of Iran to top the podium.
Taijiquan or tai chi is an ancient Chinese form of exercise originally created as a fighting art.
His teammate Pham Nguyen Hoai Nam came third in the third set taijiquan C-B.
Taijijian is tai chi with a straight double-edged sword.
Nguyen Trong Lam also finished second to grab a silver in the men’s 42 Movements Taijijian C-A.
The Vietnamese team also won bronze medal through Tran Thi Khanh Ly in the Women’s Optional Taijijian C-B.
The championships kicked off on September 25 and closed yesterday.
