Korean actress Yoo In-Na is set to arrive in Vietnam on June 20 for judging debut films by local youth from Toto Film Making Class 2015, said a statement on the program’s website at totofilmmakingclass.vn.

Toto Film Making Class 2015 is one of the programs in a series of community activities founded by CJ CGV Vietnam and CJ Welfare Foundation.

The Toto filmmaking class program is praised for its professional investment and for the way it has built up an educational, motivational and solid platform for young people aged between 15 and 18 and devoted to the art of film making.

At Toto, these teenagers are inspired to learn and practice all basic filmmaking techniques such as writing scripts, filming and acting, editing, and production. Their debut film projects feature local young stars, professionals and directors such as Nguyen Quang Dung, Dustin Nguyen, Kathy Uyen, Nhan Phuc Vinh, Diem My, Tuong Vi and Hieu Nguyen.

The program was first started in Korea in 2008 and has since been developed in other Asian countries such as China and Indonesia. It came to Vietnam in HCMC in 2012 and has since become a free annual event held by CJ CGV and CJ Welfare Foundation.

The latest Toto program in Vietnam is entering the Interview phase to choose 64 students for the classes at RMIT International University, South Saigon, HCMC from June 9 to 20.

On June 20, actress Yoo In-Na will show up at a press conference and a ceremony to launch the screening of debut films in Toto 2015.

As a judge, Yoo In-Na will be working with her Vietnamese colleagues to find the top three Toto filmmakers.

Born in 1982, the actress was cast in two successful films – “Queen In-hyun’s man” screened in 2012 and “You came from the star” in 2013 and 2014. She is also known as a singer, DJ, MC and has won several awards including Best New Actress award at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2011.
